WHAT IS TRADITIONAL STUCCO?
Traditional stucco is a term used to refer to siding made of cement, limestone powder, sand and water. Together, these ingredients create a beautiful material that can bring life to all types of buildings. Generally, the stucco application follows a three-step process:

Traditional stucco has many applications and can be used for the exteriors of a building to provide fire resistance and insulation.

As mentioned above, traditional stucco offers ease of maintenance. Regular cleaning with water and simple detergent allows you to maintain the look of your stucco walls. It generally lasts 50 to 80 years, after which you can sandblast the older stucco and reapply a new layer.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRADITIONAL STUCCO AND EIFS
While traditional stucco is made of natural ingredients, EIFS (External Insulation and Finishing Systems) stucco uses synthetic elements, including polystyrene foam boards, fibreglass mesh and other materials to improve qualities such as fire resistance.
Traditional stucco essentially creates a layer of cement around your property, which provides immense durability. EIFS stucco, on the other hand, creates several layers of synthetic materials.
One big difference is that EIFS stucco is softer than traditional stucco. Another difference is that while conventional stucco will let some moisture move into your property, EIFS stucco will not.
The high degree of versatility offered by traditional stucco also sets it apart from EIFS stucco. EIFS doesn't allow for a lot of customization.
